Philip and his wife Karen happily call Lebanon home after living in Colchester for over 25 years. They have two grown daughters and love Eastern CT. Phil and Karen are active members of the First Congregational Church where Phil has helped form an environmental justice group. The goal is to engage church members and members of the community to find personal and community solutions to the challenge of climate change through education and engagement. Phil is currently employed by JD Solar Solutions as a Solar Design Consultant.

Philip (Phil) Ziel has had a lifelong civic commitment which began in young adulthood in his hometown of Berlin, CT. Active in local and national political contests, Phil has always believed in working on behalf of those who demonstrate courage in leadership. He respects leaders with knowledge and creativity in addressing the issues of the time. As a leader, Phil works tirelessly to promote solutions to the problems and challenges we face. Philip is considered a fair and informed individual with a good grasp of the issues. Phil has a long resume of active work on Democratic campaigns on the local, state and national level.

Phil will listen carefully and work hard for the good of the community.
