As a long-time resident (30+ years), Lauren and her husband Shawn have proudly raised their two children (Madison and Bennett) in Lebanon. Lauren is a Certified Public Accountant who earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hartford. Lauren brings a strong background in financial management, strategic and capital planning, and operational efficiency to the Board of Finance. This background provides the skills necessary to analyze financials, advocate for responsible spending, and effectively collaborate with others.
As the Chief Financial Officer of a financial institution with over 30 years of experience in finance and accounting in both the banking and healthcare industries, she has a deep understanding of budgeting, expense management, and long-term financial planning. Through her oversight of human resources, Lauren has gained valuable knowledge in employee relations and benefits, contract negotiation, conflict resolution, compliance, and corporate governance.
Lauren is committed to maintaining transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline in public finances. She believes in making informed, data-driven decisions that serve the best interests of taxpayers while ensuring meaningful growth and investment in community priorities such as quality education, infrastructure, and public safety. With a strong commitment to fiscal responsibility and equitable resource allocation, she will help to ensure that the town’s use of resources reflects the needs and values of our residents.
