Kimberly Meanix Miller
Board of Assessment Appeals & Planning and Zoning (Alternate)
Over thirty years ago, Kimberly and her husband, Duff, camped on Lake Williams and fell in love with Lebanon. They achieved their dream in 2015 and moved with their four children, Shannon, Kelley, Sean and William, now grown. Over the years, she gave back to her community in many ways, most notably as a Girl Scout and Church Youth Mission leader and as a current poll worker and Secretary of the Lake Williams Beach Association. Kimberly’s undergraduate degree is in Economics, and she also has graduate degrees in business administration and accounting. Her career is in financial services, and she currently serves as a business manager and union steward at UConn. She also worked for over a dozen municipal boards in the area, accumulating over 20 years of experience. This work inspired her interest in one day serving on a municipal board. She has a particular passion for the plan of conservation and development which shapes towns into the future. She feels it provides the opportunity to both preserve the rural character and agricultural tradition we all love and enjoy, while at the same time providing the opportunity for other appropriate enterprises, in the right locations, to both provide vital services to our residents, and reduce the tax burden on households. She also recognizes the important work of the Board of Assessment Appeals which would benefit from her ability to analyze data and her sense of fairness. Her interest, experience, and passion make her a worthy candidate!
