Kevin Cwikla
Board of Selectmen
Kevin is a lifelong resident of Lebanon, having chosen with his wife of 40 years, Cindy, to raise their two children Kristian and Bethany here in his hometown. Before being elected for his first term in 2019, he retired as Business Manager and Financial Secretary of the Heat and Frost Insulators Local 33. His 38-year career has prepared him well in labor/management relations, which included: collective bargaining agreements, employee relations, and working at the state capitol with elected officials.
Kevin has had the honor of being Lebanon’s First Selectman for the last 6 years. Over that time he worked in conjunction with the Board of Selectmen, and with all other town boards and commissions to see through the completion of many town projects, including: the Jonathan Trumbull Library renovation, the complete renovation of the community center, and finalizing the completion of the new DPW building. Kevin also saw the town through the COVID-19 pandemic and the complications it presented for everyone in Lebanon’s community and ensuring town offices stayed open. During his tenure, the town has also introduced hybrid board and commission meetings providing more access for everyone in town.
His past career in the building trades has instilled a deep appreciation of legacy, providing the next generation with the knowledge and tools to succeed for years to come. It' is with that foundation, he embarks on this new chapter. He is running for Board of Selectmen to allow for fresh ideas in the First Selectmen’s chair, but is looking forward to using his experience to continue to represent the interests of all Lebanon’s residents.
