Dawn Whitcher
Board of Education
Dawn Whitcher has had the privilege of serving Lebanon as a member of the Board of Education for the past eight years, currently in the role as Board Chair. This experience has deepened her commitment to ensuring every child in our community receives an excellent education.
She grew up in Lebanon and lives here with her husband and their two children, who attend Lebanon Middle School. Her educational background includes a Masters Degree in Social and Philosophical Foundations of Education from Arizona State University, which provides her with a unique perspective on educational policy and practice.
During her tenure on the Lebanon Board of Education, she has worked collaboratively with fellow board members, administrators, and community members to navigate complex challenges and make decisions that prioritize student success. As Board Chair, she has maintained a commitment to transparent communication while leading efforts to address the district’s evolving needs and opportunities.
Having children in the school system, along with nieces and nephews who have grown up in the Lebanon School District, keeps her grounded in the day-to-day realities families face. This personal connection, combined with her professional experience in education and governance, allows her to bring both heart and expertise to board discussions.
She remains committed to Lebanon, to the families who call this community home, and to ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive. She would be honored to continue serving the community and contributing to the important conversations that shape children’s educational future.
